Rodney Farnsworth Obituary

Rodney Farnsworth, age 73, of Toledo, passed away November 12, 2016, at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. He was born January 2, 1943, in Toledo to Roland and Kathryn (Walter) Farnsworth. Rod was employed with the Plumbers/Pipefitters Local 50 for more than 47 years retiring in January 2003. Upon retirement, Rod served as chairman of the Alliance for Informed Citizens for Northwest Ohio for 11 years. He was a member of First Apostolic Church for 57 years, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

Rod is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Emma A. Farnsworth; children, Matthew (Stefanie) D. Farnsworth and Patricia (Brian) A. DuBois; grandchildren, Louis (Jordan), Alexis, Cody, Abigail, Macy, Matthew, Ana and Jonah; and brother, Donald (Dianna) Farnsworth and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Apostolic Church in Rod's memory.
